Design Approach: To create a center for scientific research, development, historical preservation and be a source of knowledge and information to the public. The building and site were developed to reflect the geology and technology of the nuclear test site. The architectural vocabulary of the phase II building is inspired by using phase I building design elements, forms and materials. The intent of using this established vocabulary is to promote the feeling of a cohesive campus style.
