The AIA Nevada Distinguished Service Awards are presented yearly to the individuals and organizations whose efforts and contributions benefit the community and further the profession. The jurors for these awards were Phillip Gerou, FAIA; Herman Orcutt, AIA, and Mr. Steven Crane, FAIA. In 2003, 12 individuals were nominated for Distinguished Service Awards.

AIA Allied Member Award - T.J. Krob, P.E.
Tom Krob was selected for his long-time and deep commitment to the AIA and the profession.
AIA Associate Award - Robin Treston, Associate AIA, CSI, CCS
Robin Treston was selected for her contribution to the AIA from a local to national level.
AIA Nevada Patron Award - UNLV Planning and Construction Department
This department was selected based on their commitment to design excellence.
AIA Nevada Young Architect Citation - Sean Colter, AIA and Shelly Ann Hayden, AIA
This citation is awarded to architects within the first ten years of licensure that have shown exceptional leadership in design, education and service to the profession.
AIA Nevada Service Award - Mark Johnson, AIA
Mark Johnson was selected for his service and leadership to AIA Nevada.
AIA Nevada Architecture Firm Award - Welles Pugsley Architects
Welles Pugsley Architects has consistently produced distinguished architecture and has shown a commitment to the AIA and to the community.

The AIA Nevada Excellence in Design Awards are presented yearly to individuals and firms in recognition for outstanding design work. The type and number of awards earned were determined by jury and include Honor Awards, Merit Awards and Citation Awards (Honor being the most distinguished). The jurors for these awards were John Anderson, FAIA; Steven Shortridge, AIA, and Alison Whitelaw, FAIA. In 2003, 65 project submittals were accepted with 15 of these projects receiving awards in the following categories: Built, Unbuilt, Open, Interior Environment and Student categories.
