George Thomas, who is an architectural historian and a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania, speaks about what makes American resorts succeed or fail, evolving urbanism, and the architecture of resort areas, especially on the east coast. Susan Snyder, who is an architect, urban designer, and lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania who also works in the realm of public art, speaks about auto-urbanism and the principles of the contemporary sprawl city.
