This web page is intended to serve as a guide to the microform collections at Lied Library. Links to other relevant information and resources are identified by blue underlined text.

Great place to find primary sources. Subject specific materials (books, journals, government publications, etc.) grouped together in collections. Primarily US West with some national, colonial, and specialty newspapers Over 800 newspaper titles from almost every mining camp and city in the state Microforms grouped by category; includes Nevada Internet links
Federal manuscript (population) census records are the actual names of individuals. Collection focuses on US West. Western US maps from 1800s to 1900s, provides detailed, accurate information about the physical structure of cities and towns. Over 500 reports from the mid to late 1800s made for government agencies about new US territories' minerals, flora, fauna, native people; etc., and includes maps. Features newspapers primarily from Great Britain (London Times from 1785 — present). A few newspapers from Russia, Cuba, and Spain.
