University Libraries Conduct Policy

The UNLV University Libraries is committed to providing you with an academic environment that is safe and inclusive.

We ask for your cooperation in support of these efforts.  

   Refrain from

  • Any disruptive behavior
  • Theft or vandalism
  • Leaving personal belongings unattended or using personal belongings to reserve space or seating
  • Sleeping
  • Possessing alcoholic beverages, illicit drugs, and weapons or destructive materials
  • Any harassment or public lewdness
  • Conducting unauthorized organized meetings, events, or instructor-led sessions
  • Bringing a bicycle into the library; using any wheeled vehicles or remote controlled devices
  • Soliciting, distributing, or displaying any unapproved materials
  • Bringing animals into the library, unless they are service animals
  • Smoking or using tobacco products to include electronic cigarettes and vaporizers
  • Using Libraries restrooms as a bathing or laundry facility
  • Wearing insufficient clothing (e.g. no top, no bottom, no shoes, etc.)
  • Any food preparation
  • Unauthorized photography or videography

    Remember

  • Furniture, library equipment, and facilities must be used in an appropriate manner and as designed
  • Aisles and walkways are to remain unobstructed at all times
  • Whiteboards may not be positioned to obstruct line of sight
  • A parent or guardian must supervise children under age 14
  • Exit the building immediately during building evacuations
  • To abide by all NSHE Board of Regents Policies and University Policies
  • To comply with University officials who have identified themselves as such
