What are Rebel Hours?
Rebel Hours provide controlled access to Lied Library during designated hours. The purpose is intended to reduce security incidents and ensure a safer environment.
Lied Library remains open to both UNLV and the general community outside of Rebel Hours. Access all library hours.
When do Rebel Hours take place?
Fall and spring semesters
Sunday - Thursday
7:00 pm - close
Winter break (between fall and spring semesters)
Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Spring break (during spring semester)
Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Summer semesters
Rebel Hours not observed.
Who can enter during Rebel Hours?
- UNLV students, faculty, and staff
- NSHE-affiliated institutions students, faculty, and staff
- Current registered OLLI students at UNLV
- Visitors who have scheduled an appointment and been confirmed.
Unapproved guests without a valid UNLV or NSHE ID will not be permitted to enter, with the exception of minor children accompanied by a UNLV or NSHE-affiliated student, staff, or faculty member.

- Appointments can be scheduled up to 1 month in advance.

How to gain access during Rebel Hours?
Use the main library entrance.
- UNLV community: scan RebelCard
- Other NSHE institutions: present a student ID
- Confirmed visitors: show a photo ID and approval email
UNLV students, faculty, and staff without a valid UNLV ID can obtain one from the RebelCard office in the UNLV Student Union.
