WORK-STUDY

The United States Federal Work Study (FWS) program pledges federal government funds to pay 100% of an eligible student’s wages. Eligible students demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA). Therefore, the University Libraries mainly hires students with work study eligibility.

AVAILABILITY

The amount of hours a student assistant works is based on their work-study award. Other factors that affect the amount of hours worked are the library’s budget, your course load and availability, and/or departmental/division needs.

How many hours per week would you prefer to work?

Library hours vary by branch and time of year, however, Lied (main) library's typical hours are:
WEEK: 7:30 AM - 12:00 AM, Monday through Thursday
7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Friday
WEEKEND: 9:00AM - 6:00PM, Saturday
11:00AM - 10:00PM, Sunday
